Bruce Edge is the best-selling author of dozens of books on DUI and criminal defense and has spent decades studying the legal, scientific, and evidentiary issues at the heart of impaired-driving cases. His depth of experience, extensive training, and record of results have led many of his peers and clients to consider him one of the best DUI and criminal defense lawyers in the Tulsa, Oklahoma, area.

His practice extends far beyond DUI defense. Bruce defends clients facing some of the most serious criminal charges, including murder, manslaughter, aggravated assault and battery, armed robbery, kidnapping, major drug trafficking offenses, weapons charges, domestic violence, and criminal appeals.

What has distinguished Bruce throughout his career is his relentless curiosity and his belief that a defense attorney should understand the government's evidence at least as well as the people producing it. That philosophy led him to pursue many of the same training programs used by law enforcement officers, as well as extensive scientific training involving breath testing, blood testing, standardized field sobriety testing, and other methods used to investigate and prosecute DUI cases.

Rather than simply accepting the conclusions of police officers, breath-testing machines, laboratories, or government experts, Bruce has dedicated himself to understanding how evidence is collected, analyzed, and interpreted, where mistakes can occur, and how its scientific reliability can be challenged in court. His approach is straightforward: know the law, know the science, understand the government's methods, and never accept an assumption simply because it is presented as fact.

By the time Bruce walks into the courtroom, he strives to know the case better than the prosecution and the arresting officer. He believes meticulous preparation, thorough investigation, and comprehensive evidence collection are the keys to winning difficult cases. That means examining the evidence from every angle, identifying what may have been overlooked, questioning the government's assumptions, and being prepared to challenge weaknesses that could ultimately change the outcome of the case.

Bruce formerly served as Dean of the National College for DUI Defense and now holds the lifetime honorary title of Dean Emeritus. During his leadership and teaching career with the College, he has taught and mentored more than 1,800 attorneys and students nationwide in DUI defense strategies and trial tactics. He is also a Certified Instructor in Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and co-owns two Intoxilyzer 8000 breath-testing machines, giving his firm the ability to study firsthand the technology used by the government to produce breath-alcohol evidence.
