Miranda Rights Read Verbatim

Question: Do Miranda rights have to be read verbatim?

Answer: The police need to make sure that you are freely and understandingly giving up your right to have an attorney present during the questioning. There is no magic language that is required, nor would a failure to abide by such magic language invalidate the arrest or otherwise make the admission of the statements at trial inappropriate or unconstitutional.
